Law Enforcement Guidelines

Last updated: September 11, 2026

Yosh Call ("we", "us", "our") is committed to cooperating with law enforcement agencies and government authorities in accordance with applicable law, while protecting the privacy rights of our users. This page describes our protocols for responding to law enforcement requests for information and for reporting illegal activity.

1. Scope

These guidelines apply to requests from law enforcement, courts, and government agencies for user data, account information, or content held by Yosh Call, including requests relating to civil and criminal investigations, and emergency situations involving a risk of death or serious physical harm.

2. Legal Process Required

Except in emergencies (see Section 5), we require valid legal process before disclosing non-public user information, consistent with applicable law. Depending on the type of data requested, this may include:

We review each request to confirm it is legally valid, properly issued by a court or agency of competent jurisdiction, and not overly broad. We reserve the right to reject, narrow, or seek clarification of any request that does not meet these standards.

3. How to Submit a Request

Law enforcement and government agencies may submit requests to:

Requests should be submitted on official agency letterhead or through official government channels, and must include:

We may require requests to be sent from an official government or law-enforcement email domain, or otherwise independently verify the requester's identity, before processing.

4. Preservation Requests

We will preserve account records upon receipt of a written preservation request from law enforcement, pending the issuance of formal legal process, in accordance with applicable data preservation laws. Preservation requests should be sent to the email address above and should identify the specific account and the data to be preserved.

5. Emergency Disclosure Requests

Where we have a good-faith belief that an emergency involves imminent risk of death or serious physical injury to a person, we may voluntarily disclose relevant information to law enforcement without legal process, as permitted by applicable law. Emergency requests should be sent to yoshcallapp@gmail.com with "EMERGENCY DISCLOSURE REQUEST" in the subject line, and should describe the nature of the emergency and the specific information needed.

6. Child Safety Reports

We report confirmed instances of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and related exploitation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate fully with law enforcement in India and internationally regarding such matters. See our Child Safety Standards for more information.

7. Notice to Users

Where permitted by law, we may notify the affected user before disclosing their information in response to a legal request. We may delay or forgo notice where we are prohibited by law or court order from providing it, or where we determine that notice would jeopardize an active investigation or risk harm to a person.

8. Costs

We do not currently charge a fee for responding to routine, properly issued law enforcement requests. We reserve the right to seek reimbursement of reasonable costs for unusually burdensome or voluminous requests, as permitted by applicable law.

9. International Requests

Requests originating outside India may be submitted through applicable mutual legal assistance treaty (MLAT) processes, letters rogatory, or other recognized international legal cooperation mechanisms. We evaluate international requests on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable law.

10. Governing Law

We process law enforcement requests in accordance with the laws of India and, where applicable, the laws of the requesting jurisdiction. Nothing in these guidelines shall be construed as a waiver of any legal rights, objections, or defenses available to Yosh Call.
